The privacy policy applies to all data collected and processed on the website, databases and their associated systems which are owned and managed by Solagro and Lake Constance Foundation for the “LIFE Food & Biodiversity Consortium”.
Biodiversity Monitoring System
Standard organisations and food companies subscribed to the Biodiversity Monitoring Systems confirm that they have the permission of certified farms /farms of the supply chain to include their data (see above) into the monitoring system in order to monitor the biodiversity performance.

These data will be processed for the purpose of monitoring the biodiversity performance of certified farms and/or farms of the supply chain of a company. We do not collect or process sensitive personal data (as defined in GDPR 2018).
What is the lawful basis?
Biodiversity Monitoring System lawful basis for processing data you provided is considered a ‘contractual’ in that you have requested or subscribed to the Biodiversity Monitoring System, freely provided data of certified farms and/or farms of your supply chain and for which Biodiversity Monitoring is then required to deliver monitoring services, such as evaluation of certain aspects of biodiversity performance and various types of monitoring reports.
For the elaboration of such monitoring services, data sets of farms certified by a certain standard or farms of a certain supply chain are anonymized and aggregated.

Where your data is stored?
We store data you provide in a database management system accessed through a secured frontend and other standard software on secure servers in EU. We also work with contracted specialist partners, through service level agreements, who provide secure platforms and software to store data on our behalf. Our internal systems used to process and manage data is hosted on a secured network with secure servers and with password protected access for authorized staff.
The Monitoring Database secures that the user (standard or food company) has only access to the data he provided to the monitoring system and that he can exclusively elaborate monitoring results and reports with the data to which he has authorized access.

Keeping your data secure
Sending information over the internet is generally not completely secure, and therefore we cannot guarantee the security of your data while it is in transit. However, our secure servers ensure your data is protected once we have received it. Our websites, web servers and office servers all have SSL (data encryption) Certificates. We have procedures and security features in place to keep your data secure and we ensure management of data is restricted to authorised staff only; each of whom have unique password protected access. Our internal system used to process data is also hosted on secure servers, has SSL certificates and have added security with password protected access. Data is securely ‘backed up’ to secure ‘cloud’ servers.

The operation of aggregation and statistical data analysis will be done based on farm results, but the anonymity of people is always guaranteed.
